"Trust in the Lord with all thine heart, and lean not on thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy paths." ~ Proverbs 3:5-6

It took a few weeks of praying, soul searching and listening in stillness, to pinpoint what I believe to be God's purpose for this blog and the direction He wants it to take.

In all of my seeking, I kept getting the sense that He was just leading me back to His word. Back to simply spending time with Him. To just making that daily commitment to open my Bible and trust His instruction.

So I'm making the decision to start doing just this, exactly where I am today.

September 1, 2020. Day 1 of my One-year Bible plan.

As an educator, there's nothing quite like the start of a new academic year. While there is some sadness that another summer has come to an end, this is settled by a fresh sense of excitement for what the year ahead will bring. There's an eagerness to set up our classrooms, look over our class lists, meet our new students, and fall back into our structured routines.

This year's September will undoubtedly be different from those familiar Septembers of the past. My fellow teachers and I will be meeting a majority of our students virtually and adopting new methods of delivering lessons amidst a Global pandemic. We will be assessing our health daily and monitoring the health of our loved ones. We will be praying for a treatment that will successfully stop the spread of the dreaded Covid-19 virus.

Facing the year ahead with so much uncertainty, I see no better time than now to begin this one-year journey with God and His word. I will use this blog as a way to share what I am learning, directly from the Source, the Greatest Educator that ever existed. I will offer weekly insights into His teachings and ask that He provides revelation through the daily scriptures that have been selected for study.

I pray He uses me as a conduit to share His word, deliver His message, relay His promises, and offer His healing and salvation to all who need them. May His infinite wisdom offer a newfound hope to us all.

I invite you to join me, wherever you are.

Let us follow His lead.

And whatever lies ahead; just remember:

He's got us in the palms of His hands.
